Online Support Groups and Peer Communities

1in6 – Support for Male Survivors

  • Who it’s for: Adult men who experienced sexual abuse or assault, including childhood trauma.

  • Offers free, confidential weekly online support groups via chat, led by trained facilitators.

  • Also provides a national helpline and resource library.
     

SurvivorSpace.org – Peer-Moderated Chat Groups

  • Who it’s for: Survivors of child sexual abuse and assault (all genders).

  • Hosts anonymous, chat-based online support groups, including weekday sessions for men and women.​
     

 

Pandora’s Project – Survivor Forum and Resources

  • Who it’s for: Survivors of sexual assault and their supporters.

  • Offers “Pandora’s Aquarium,” a moderated online forum with thousands of members.

  • Provides a lending library, peer forums, and trauma healing resources.

SNAP – Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests

  • Who it’s for: Survivors of institutional abuse and those harmed by religious or authority figures.

  • Offers online and in-person peer support groups, survivor story sharing, and advocacy resources.

  • Focuses on survivor empowerment, accountability, and reform.
     

MaleSurvivor

  • Who it’s for: Men who experienced sexual abuse or assault in childhood or adulthood.

  • Provides a moderated discussion forum and chat features.

  • Offers peer support, articles, and resource referrals.
