Mary Jo McGrath

MaryJo McGrath, J.D. is a nationally recognized expert on sexual harassment and abuse in schools with more than 30 years of experience as a California attorney, with a focus on education law.

She is now president of MJ McGrath Consulting. She has trained more than 250,000 school district administrators and employees throughout the United States and Canada on sexual harassment awareness and sexual misconduct, investigation protocols, and Title IX compliance.

McGrath has authored multiple books and publications on school safety, including comprehensive training curricula on sexual harassment and misconduct prevention, and has served as an expert consultant to the Governor's Office of California and as past Chair of the U.S. Department of Education Expert Panel on Safe, Disciplined and Drug-Free Schools.

Her expertise has been featured extensively in national media and she continues to serve as an expert witness in cases involving educator sexual misconduct and school district liability.
