Charles J. Hobson, Ph.D.

Member, Board of Advisors

Dr. Charles J. Hobson holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University and currently serves as a Professor of Management at Indiana University Northwest. He teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in organizational behavior, teamwork, leadership, and human resource management.


Over the course of his distinguished career, Dr. Hobson has authored or coauthored more than 150 professional publications and presentations, worked as a trainer and consultant for more than 170 organizations, and served as an expert witness in dozens of court cases involving workplace and educational discrimination.


A recognized authority on the issue of sexual abuse and harassment in education, Dr. Hobson has conducted extensive research on the topic and authored two impactful books:


·       Passing the Trash: A Parent's Guide to Combat Sexual Abuse/Harassment of Their Children in School (focused on K–12)

·       The Lecherous University: What Every Student and Parent Should Know About the Sexual Harassment Epidemic on Campus (2002)


He has worked closely with multiple organizations dedicated to preventing and addressing sexual abuse and harassment in educational institutions.


Throughout his tenure at Indiana University, Dr. Hobson has been a passionate advocate for student rights. He has filed multiple formal complaints—six against fellow professors, one with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, and one with law enforcement. He also provided sworn testimony in a federal court case against Indiana University and a faculty member accused of sexual misconduct.
